Sauk Village, IL — A local team with a powerful mission is stepping forward to bring healing and hope to women in need—and they’re asking the community to help make it a reality.
Tangible Dreams, a proposed women’s recovery home on Clyde Avenue, is currently seeking zoning approval from the Village of Sauk Village to open its doors and begin offering life-changing services to women reentering society after incarceration and those recovering from substance use disorders.
At the heart of the project is a deeply rooted belief: that every woman deserves a second chance, and that strong communities are built on inclusion, compassion, and accountability.
A Mission of Restoration and Renewal
Tangible Dreams is more than a recovery residence—it’s a place of transformation. The program will provide safe, stable housing paired with wraparound services designed to empower women to heal and thrive. Services include:
- Mental health counseling
- Job readiness training
- Peer mentorship
- Financial literacy education
- Group support meetings
- Life skills development
The goal is to foster long-term independence, personal growth, and successful reintegration into the community.
“We want to become a trusted and peaceful presence in Sauk Village,” said a representative from the Tangible Dreams team. “This is about healing lives, strengthening families, and lifting up the entire community.”
Respectful Neighbors, Lasting Impact
Tangible Dreams has emphasized its commitment to being a good neighbor—maintaining the property with care, operating with professionalism, and building relationships rooted in respect and transparency.
The home will be staffed and operated with oversight to ensure it remains a safe, structured environment. Residents will participate in daily routines, programs, and personal development activities under the guidance of trained staff and certified counselors.
A Call for Community Support
To move forward, Tangible Dreams must obtain zoning approval from the Village of Sauk Village. The team is asking local residents, stakeholders, and supporters to sign a petition demonstrating their belief in the mission and support for the program.
“We’re not just asking for permission—we’re inviting the community to partner with us in building something meaningful and lasting,” the team shared.
